International Protest Actions

Europe-wide artistic protest actions against Israel’s participation in the Song Contest

Across Europe, mobilization is taking place under the slogan “No Stage for Genocide” against Israel’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place this May in Vienna.

The widespread protests have led Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, Slovenia, and Iceland to decide not to participate in the ESC due to Israel’s participation.

To express the demand that major cultural events like the ESC must not be used as a propaganda platform to whitewash the genocide against Palestinians, coordinated concerts, demonstrations, and artistic protest actions are being held in various countries and cities. We support each other in amplifying our shared demands:

  • We jointly denounce the complicity of European governments and the European Union in the genocide in Palestine.
  • We denounce that Israel is being given a propaganda platform through the Song Contest.
  • We demand the exclusion of Israel from the Eurovision Song Contest.
  • We stand in solidarity and commemorate, on Nakba Day – May 15 – the countless displaced and murdered Palestinians.
